Arsenal to rival Man City for £60m-rated French forward
Arsenal will reportedly have to fight it out with Manchester City in order to secure the services of long-time target Alexandre Lacazette this summer.
The France international was the subject of multiple bids during the previous summer transfer window, but he opted to stay put at Les Gones.
Since then, he has been in exceptional touch for the Ligue 1 club where he is on course to have his best-ever season before moving on a club overseas this summer.
Both West Ham United and Arsenal were in line to sign the talented forward last summer, but the Hammers looked to have cooled their interest amid Les Gones' hefty £60m valuation of their marksman.
However, the Gunners will still face competition from Manchester City, who are looking to add more options to their strike force considering the future of Sergio Aguero is not entirely settled.
Arsenal are expected to spend big on a top-class striker in the summer with contract rebel Alexis Sanchez edging ever closer to an Emirates exit.
