West Ham, Arsenal target Ben Gibson
London duo West Ham United and Arsenal are both said to be interested in signing Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson this summer.
The 24-year-old has been the stand-out performer for Boro in what is turning out to be a relegation fight on their top-flight comeback.
According to The Mirror, both the Hammers and the Gunners have joined the pursuit of the central defender, who has impressed with his leadership skills during the ongoing campaign.
Gibson is currently valued at around £25m, and it is understood that he could be offloaded regardless of Boro's league status at the end of the campaign.
Premier League giants Manchester City and Chelsea are also said to be keeping a close watch in the former England Under-21 international, and there could be a transfer tussle to decide where the player's future lies in the summer.
Goal-shy Middlesbrough are currently three points adrift of safety with 11 games to go, and they will need Gibson in top form if they to beat the drop in the coming months.
