Manchester City have joined the race to sign a Premier League striker that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has also been showing interest in. The Spanish attacker has been in fine form for his current team, but two of the Premier League's top club are now chasing his signature for next season.

32 year old Fernando Llorente limped off in the early stages of Swansea City's 2-1 defeat to Hull City on Saturday, but that will do little to deter the interest from other clubs. Since manager Paul Clement has taken over at the Liberty Stadium, Llorente has become a key player for the club, scoring eleven goals in the Premier League, and lifting the club out of the relegation zone.

There was speculation in the January transfer window that Chelsea would make a move for Llorente, with Antonio Conte having managed him during his time at Juventus. Chelsea are expected to be still interested in signing him in the summer, but according to Don Balon, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is now also interested in his services.

Llorente has proved that he can score goals in the Premier League this season, and his strength and heading ability would allow him to add an extra dimension to the Manchester City attack.

Llorente is sure to be aware of the speculation, but for now he has to focus on trying to keep Swansea City in the Premier League.
