Southampton eyeing Sandro Ramirez move
Southampton are reportedly planning a move for Sandro Ramirez who has impressed in his debut campaign with Malaga this season.
Saints boss Claude Puel is said to be on the lookout for a new recruit with none of his forwards having touched double figures in the ongoing season.
According to The Mirror, the South Coast club are lining up a deal for Ramirez, who has enjoyed a productive spell with Malaga this term.
The 21-year-old largely struggled to make an impression at former club Barcelona, and this urged him to make the switch to Malaga, where he has become a regular in the first XI.
Ramirez has netted 14 goals in 27 outings in the current season - including a goal against Barca which earned his side a hard-fought 2-0 win.
The former La Masia student currently has a minor release clause of around £5.1m, and this seems to have also attracted interest from title-chasing Tottenham Hotspur.
Ramirez has represented Spain at all youth levels, and a step up to a bigger club could enhance his chances of earning a senior call-up in the future.
