Man City confident of luring Kyle Walker
Manchester City have reportedly received a boost in their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker in the summer.
The England international has been in and out of the starting lineup in recent weeks with manager Mauricio Pochettino opting to offer Kieran Trippier an equal opportunity in the right wing-back position.
Walker is understood to have held recently discussions with Pochettino over his future at White Hart Lane, and according to The Telegraph, he could be cashed upon by Spurs during the coming transfer window.
Citizens boss Pep Guardiola is keen to build a core of British players in his current squad, and Walker is among the leading names in the shortlist for the summer.
However, their pursuit could yet be dented with Pochettino in favour of selling the player overseas amid reported interest from German champions Bayern Munich.
Walker, who inked a fresh five-year deal earlier in the season, has made 35 starts for the north London giants across all competitions.
