Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly monitoring the situation of Karim Benzema, who is seemingly frustrated with his stay at Real Madrid.

The France international has often been criticised for the club's poor showing on the pitch, but this appears to have urged him to weigh up his options for the summer.

Spanish outlet Don Balon suggests that the Frenchman could be leaving the Bernabeu this summer after he highlighted his agent to discuss terms with his suitors.

The former Lyon man has been long linked with a move to the Emirates, and the Gunners could revive their interest with a major squad rebuild planned for the off-season.

However, they will face potential competition from rivals Manchester United, who could land the Frenchman as makeweight in the proposed sale of goalkeeper David de Gea.

Benzema has two years left on his existing contract, and Los Blancos are unlikely to accept a sum of less than £50m for the experienced marksman this summer. He has had an average season by his standards this term with just 17 goals across all competitions.
