Schmeichel puts Manchester clubs on high alert
Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has put interested teams on high alert by replacing his agent, with one that has strong links in particular with Old Trafford.
The Foxes stopper recently negotiated a new big money contract with last season's Premier League champions, but has now decided to join forces with Italian agent Luca Bascherini, according to The Sun.
Manchester United and Manchester City could both be on the look out for a new goalkeeper in the summer, as they aim to launch a bid for the title next season, and Schmeichel has been a name that both have shown interest in.
Bascherini is known to have a good relationship with Manchester United, who may have to replace David De Gea, should the Spaniard complete a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid. The Red Devils have also been linked with Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart as a possible replacement.
With the possibility of Schmeichel becoming available, Manchester City may decide to refuse the sale of Hart to United, and use him as part of a deal with Leicester for Kasper Schmeichel.
