Sunderland could be open to the prospect of selling goalkeeper Jordan Pickford this summer, should their £30m valuation be matched.

The 23-year-old made his Black Cats debut midway through the previous campaign, and he has since earned plaudits for a string of impressive performances.

Black Cats boss David Moyes had recently cited that the club will keep hold of their shot-stopper for at least another season, but according to The Times, a fee of around £30m could be sufficient to do business for Pickford.

Pickford earned his maiden call-up to the England senior squad earlier in the season, and he will undoubtedly want to remain in the top flight in order to improve his chances of a first cap ahead of next year's World Cup in Russia.

Everton are currently leading the pursuit of the highly-rated Englishman, but it is yet to be known whether they would be willing to match the £30m price tag placed on the player's head.

Pickford has turned out 27 times for the Black Cats, who will be plying their trade in the second tier of English football next season.
