Philippe Coutinho pushing for Barca move?

Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho will reportedly push for a move to Spanish champions Barcelona despite having inked a new long-term deal earlier in the year.

The Brazil international has been heavily tipped to join the Catalan giants over the course of the campaign, and he could realise his move during the summer transfer window.

According to Spanish publication Sport, the Reds playmaker has made up his mind for a switch to La Liga with Barcelona being his preferred destination.

However, the report does not present much confidence over the player's position with reputed journalist Guillem Balague recently citing that Barca could ignore the services of the 24-year-old.

Coutinho has notched 10 goals and assisted a further six for the Reds, who hold an advantage in the pursuit of a top-four finish to the season.

Liverpool will be assured of a return to the Champions League football, should they managed to attain wins over both West Ham United and Middlesbrough in the final games of the campaign.
