Silva eyeing EPL stay

Marco Silva is reportedly eyeing a fresh challenge elsewhere after he saw Hull City drop into the Championship despite his efforts in the second half of the season.

The former Olympiacos boss took over the reigns at the Tigers in January after the club were rooted to the bottom of the Premier League under former boss Mike Phelan.

Silva had since managed to revive the club's home form which took them within Premier League safety before defeats to Sunderland and Crystal Palace condemned them to relegation.

The 39-year-old only signed for the Tigers on a six-month deal, and their relegation appears to have urged Silva to consider a top-flight return.

According to The Sun, Silva will end his association with the Tigers next week with a view to pursuing a fresh job in the Premier League.

Watford, who have decided to part ways with Walter Mazzarri, are currently favourites to sign the highly-rated head coach, but there could still be vacancies at West Ham United and Southampton.
