French giants Lyon are interested in a summer move for Chelsea frontman Bertrand Traore following his impressive showing for Ajax in the second half of the campaign.

The Burkina Faso international grabbed the headlines earlier this month after his sublime display ensured that Ajax qualified for the Europa League finals ahead of favourites Lyon.

Traore netted a brace in the first-leg on the semi-final clash, and this was sufficient to pull the club through as they won 5-4 on aggregate versus Les Gones.

According to The Express, Lyon have begun discussions over the potential signing of Traore from Chelsea following his excellent progress in Europe this season.

The Blues currently has plenty of talents to choose from with the likes of Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham likely to be on reserve next season, and this could urge Traore to move on, should he fail to earn regular first-team action.

Lyon managed to lure Manchester United flop Memphis Depay last winter, and they are planning yet another Premier League raid with Traore being the latest on their radar.

Traore made his Chelsea debut during the previous campaign where he amassed four goals in 16 outings for the west London club.
