Wilfried Zaha signs new five-year deal with Crystal Palace

Zaha pledged his future to the club and put pen to paper a new deal that will keep him at Selhurst Park till 2022.
Just two days after Sam Allardyce shockingly left his job as Crystal Palace manager, Wilfried Zaha has quelled the nerves of some Crystal Palace fans by pledging his future to the club.
The surprise departure of Big Sam this week has put Palace in a difficult spot as they search for a new manager and face an uphill task of keeping their best players. Andros Townsend is rumored to be headed back to Newcastle while Mamadou Sakho also does not seem too keen to remain at the club.
Allardyce took over Palace in December when they were in the relegation zone. He revitalized the squad and brought out the best in many of his players. Wilfried Zaha enjoyed his most prolific season yet, scoring seven goals and assisting nine in the league. In doing so, he was voted the club's player of the season for the second year in a row.
This led to interest from many Premier League clubs, particularly Tottenham and the former Manchester United man was touted to leave the club.
However, the 24-year-old has put an end to those rumours by penning down a new five-year deal.
Speaking to Sky Sports after signing the contract, Zaha was quoted as saying: "Palace is in my heart and I don't think the story is over. I spoke with Steve [Parish] and I think I still have more to give this club. The supporters have been amazing and I want us to do more than just stay in the league next year."
