Rob Holding to receive improved Arsenal contract
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will reportedly look to commit defender Rob Holding to a new improved contract following his impressive displays in the backend of the season.
The England under-21 international linked up with the Gunners from Bolton Wanderers for a £2m fee during the previous summer transfer window.
According to The Mirror, Wenger is planning to reward the 21-year-old with a fresh deal after putting in a number of faultless performances - including one in the FA Cup final versus Chelsea.
Holding initially received a baptism with fire after he was involved in the 4-3 hammering at the hands of Liverpool in the Premier League opener.
He followed to play a minor role over the course of the 2016/17 season before being drafted into a back three in a new look 3-4-2-1 formation.
Holding was a regular feature in Arsene Wenger's team in the final two months of the campaign, and he is set to earn a new extension which will earn a substantial increase on his current £10,000-a-week wages.
The former Trotters man appeared in 18 outings for the FA Cup holders during the recently concluded league campaign.
