Premier League sides Manchester United and Chelsea are on high alert after Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich revealed that they are willing to listen to offers for Douglas Costa and Renato Sanches

Manager Carlo Ancelotti is desperate to win the Champions League with Bayern Munich and knows that he needs to strengthen his squad to do so. In order to add to his team, players must be sold, and Costa and Sanches have been told that they are surplus to requirements, according to Bild.

19-year-old Renato Sanches joined Bayern Munich just a year ago, when they beat competition from Manchester United and Real Madrid. The club had high expectations for the Portuguese international, but he has failed to make the breakthrough that they were hoping for.

Douglas Costa has struggled to establish himself in the Bayern Munich squad since joining in 2015. Despite the advancing years of veteran wingers Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, the Brazilian is still thought to be some way off of a starting position.

The pair have undoubted talent and age is also on their side. If given game time, they would have a chance of showing just why Bayern signed them in the first place. With an expected cost of £65 million for both of them, both Manchester United and Chelsea are rumoured to be considering the option of bidding for the duo.
