Belotti wants Torino stay
Andrea Belotti wants to stay at Serie A club Torino and could refuse a transfer away from the club even if his release clause is met, according to Torino club president Urbano Cairo.
Belotti has a 100 million Euro release clause in his contract, something that a number of teams, including Manchester United and AC Milan, are considering offering for the 23-year-old.
FourFourTwo reports that Cairo is desperate to keep Belotti at the club and is confident that his striker feels the same way.
"He has a contract with Toro until 2021. I would only sell him for €100m, but even then he can refuse. The most important thing is what he wants, regardless of the release clause, and I believe he wants to stay," the Torino president explained.
Although the desire to stay at the club has not come directly from the player, this news will come as a massive blow to Manchester United, who were reportedly very keen on adding Belotti to their squad ahead of the new season.
