Fabinho set for Manchester United switch?
A prominent Italian journalist, Emanuele Giulianelli, has indicated that Monaco's star midfielder Fabinho is set to make a transfer to Man Utd. The 23-year-old is one of Europe's most coveted young players.
The journalist tweeted: “No problems with Fabinho. He’s still going to Manchester United. #MUFCTransfers.”
Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho is hoping to bolster his squad with at least three new faces and has identified Fabinho as his top priority for the summer. According to numerous reports from France, Man Utd will pay £40m to sign the talented Brazilian.
Fabinho is comfortable playing at right back, in defensive midfield or across the whole of the middle of the park and has been with AS Monaco since 2015 when he made a move from his home country of Brazil where he formerly played for Fluminese and Rio Ave. Fabinho spent some time on loan at Real Madrid but it was Monaco who won the race for his signature three years ago.
