Chelsea first summer signing revealed
Premier League holders Chelsea will reportedly announce the signing of former Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero on July 1.
The Argentine shot-stopper is out of contract following his release from the Etihad, and he has since been in communications with the west London club.
According to The Mirror, the 35-year-old has also made contact with some of his future teammates prior to his Bosman move to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have yet to make a significant signing in the summer transfer window, but they will still confirm the arrival of Caballero on a free on July 1.
Conte is said to be at odds with the Blues hierarchy for the lack of transfer activity, but the club will nevertheless keep hold of his services with the promise of a £250m spending spree this summer.
Caballero managed to share the duties alongside Claudio Bravo at Manchester City last season with the latter struggling to adapt in his first season in English football.
