Arsenal step up their interest in Juventus midfielder
FA Cup holders Arsenal have renewed their long-term interest in Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina ahead of this summer's transfer window.
The Gabon international has been linked with the Gunners for a while with the club having made a tentative enquiry for his signature last summer.
Reputed Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri has now confirmed that the north London club have made an approach for Lemina following another frustrating season in Turin, he tweeted: "Arsenal have contacted Juventus for Lemina."
Lemina initially started a string of games under Max Allegri until he received a red card in the Champions League group stage game against Lyon in October 2016.
He managed just 11 starts over the course of the previous campaign, and he is now eager to resolve his future with Miralem Pjanic, Claudio Marchisio and Sami Khedira all vying for places in midfield.
The Old Lady are also close to wrapping up a summer agreement for Steven N'Zonzi, who will be joining from Sevilla on a £35m deal this summer.
