Juventus complete deal for Patrik Schick

Czech Republic international striker Patrik Schick is to seal a deal to join Juventus from Serie A rivals Sampdoria. The forward will sign a five-year contract in Turin. 

Schick had impressed in his maiden campaign in Serie A for Sampdoria, bagging an impressive 11 goals in 32 league games for the Genovese club. Juventus had been linked with a deal for Schick since March and concluded a transfer this week, with the player passing a medical on Friday evening.

Schick joined Sampdoria in 2016 from Sparta Prague and has impressed since making an official transfer. Juventus are hopeful that Schick will be an important player for their squad for the future; a replacement for Gonzalo Higuain in three or four seasons time.

Schick makes a transfer to "The Old Lady" in a deal worth approximately 12.3 million euros. Juventus have also moved a step closer to signing Douglas Costa, according to reports from Italy. Juve have had a bid accepted for the Brazilian by Bayern Munich.
