Chelsea eye Lewandowski as Lukaku replacement

Premier League holders Chelsea are plotting a surprise move for Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski, should a deal for Romelu Lukaku fall through this summer.
The west London giants are expected to pursue a new marksman in the transfer window after Antonio Conte decided to cut ties with Diego Costa.
Costa, 28, apparently has no future at Stamford Bridge, and he will pack his bags for a move abroad, previously on a short-term loan until January.
According to Metro, Lewandowski could be lured to the Premier League after he was evidently depressed on missing out on the Bundesliga Golden Boot.
The Poland international admitted the disappointment publicly on international duty and according to leading journalist Maciej Iwanski, the Bavarian giants could be willing to part ways with Lewandowski this summer.
Nevertheless, Lukaku remains the prime option for Conte, but a deal could be delayed due to Everton's reluctance to come down on their hefty £100m price tag.
Chelsea begin their season early when compared to their direct rivals as they compete with Arsenal for the Community Shield on August 7.
