When John Terry announced that he would be leaving Chelsea at the end of last season. there was always going to be lots of interest from other clubs. The former England captain now looks set to turn down Premier League clubs in order to join Championship side Aston Villa.
The long-term Chelsea captain made the tough decision to leave Stamford Bridge in an attempt to prolong his playing career. With plenty of offers from England on the table, the 36-year-old was quick to turn down lucrative options in the Chinese Super League.
Bournemouth, Swansea City and West Brom have all been linked with Terry as they look to use his vast experience to strengthen their Premier League status. However, it now appears that John Terry will drop down a league to the Championship.

With big signings such as this, the already massively competitive Championship will continue to see the quality of football being displayed rise and entertain fans every week.
