Chelsea to increase bid for Alex Sandro
Chelsea to increase bid for Alex Sandro
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Chelsea are expected to increase their initial offer of around 50 million euros for Alex Sandro to 65-70 million euros. This comes after Juventus rejected their initial offer.
The Brazilian international caught the Bianconeri's eye in 2015 due to his impressive performances with Porto, helping the portugese giants finish second, just 3 points behind Benfica in the 2014/15 season.
He has since exceeded expectations at Juventus, being touted as one of the best left backs in the world, especially due to his attacking flair, with 3 goals and 4 assists for the Old Lady in the 2016/17 Serie A season, helping Juventus win achieve the domestic double as well as playing a key role in the Bianconer's success in the Champions League, reaching the final.
Understandably, the 26-year old has caught Conte's eye who wants an upgrade on Marcos Alonso to be competitve in next year's Champions League.
Although Juventus seem reluctant to sell the attacking left back, rejcting a mamoth initial offer from Chelsea, it seems like they are ready for the possibility of Sandro leaving, with Gazetta reporting that the Bianconeri would be ready to bring back talented left back Leonardo Spinazzola early from a 2-year loan at Atalanta.
