Tottenham approach for Germany international

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made a £15m bid for Borussia Dortmund defender Matthias Ginter, SportBild claims.
The north London giants achieved an impressive runner-up position in the Premier League last term, but manager Mauricio Pochettino is still looking to bolster his backline in order to compete in all four competitions.
Spurs faced a surprise group-stage exit in the Champions League last term while their defeat to Gent in the last 32 of the Europa League brought more questions marks over the club's depth.
According to SportBild, Spurs have backed up their initial interest by plotting a £15m offer for the former Freiburg man.
Ginter, who has earned comparisons with World Cup winner Per Mertesacker, was handed a regular role under Thomas Tuchel last season as he made 43 appearances in all competitions.
However, with Tuchel no longer in charge, Ginter is assessing his options with the Premier League, an ideal destination to continue his development.
Arch-rivals Arsenal were credited with an interest in Ginter last summer, but they have yet to receive a mention during the current transfer window.
