Atletico Madrid to make final take-or-leave offer for Diego Costa
Atletico Madrid are reportedly planning a final bid worth £57m to pursue the services of former striker Diego Costa from Chelsea.
The Spanish giants have been in constant negotiations with the Blues in recent months, but they have failed to reach a conclusion over Costa's future.
According to Marca, Atleti will make one last attempt to sign the Spain international, who is spending his time in Brazil, playing five-a-side beach football.
It is added that the La Liga outfit will put him under intensive training, should they secure his services, as this would keep him prepared for the second half of the season.
Atletico Madrid are currently under a FIFA-imposed transfer ban until the start of 2018, and this is said to have slowed down their discussions to sign Costa, who is reluctant to ply his trade for any other club.
Costa joined the west London giants from Atleti back in the summer of 2014 for a reported fee of £32m. He has won two Premier League titles and the League Cup in this period, scoring 58 goals in the process.
