Antonio Conte speaks about Pedro's injury
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte feels Pedro has been unlucky in the past few months having suffered minor injuries in the games against Arsenal.
The Spain international sustained an ankle problem in the London derby on Sunday afternoon but Conte insists that it is not serious.
The injury was Pedro's third in as many games against Arsenal following his facial injury in a friendly in July whilst damaging his ankle in the Community Shield last month.
Speaking to reporters, Conte admitted that his frontman has not had the best of times with injuries, but he is hopeful that he will be luckier in the future.
"This season he's not lucky, Pedro. He started with a bad injury in the Arsenal friendly game, where he broke a bone in his face," he is quoted as saying by ESPN.
"Then he received a knock on his ankle. Now on his leg... I hope for him, but above all for our team, that he's luckier in the future.
"For sure now, Pedro is trying to recover from the last injury. It's important for him also to work. It's not a serious injury, but he needs time to recover."
Meanwhile, Eden Hazard appears to have fully recovered from his own injury with Conte confirming that the Belgian will start in the third round League Cup tie against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.
