Real Madrid mulling over Edinson Cavani move?
Real Madrid are reportedly weighing up the option of signing Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani. The European champions are on the search for a new marksman in their ranks, and this has recently linked them with a club-record move for Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane.
However, according to Don Balon, Cavani is also on the list of targets for the European champions as they look for a suitable competitor to Karim Benzema, who has struggled for goals of late.
Cavani has notched 138 goals during his four-year stay at Parc des Princes, but his speculation has come under speculation following his on-field spat with Neymar over a spot kick.
The pair have since stressed that all is well between them, but this has not quelled the talk of a big-money move for Cavani at the start of 2018.
Paris Saint-Germain are expected to offload a few of their players to balance their financial books, although they would be reluctant to lose a player of Cavani's calibre anytime soon.
