Confirmed Lineups: Liverpool vs Manchester United, Eric Bailly out
Liverpool host Manchester United in a highly-awaited encounter at Anfield this afternoon. The likes of Sadio Mane and Marouane Fellaini were expected to miss the clash with hamstring and knee injury, but there are some additional surprises in the Red Devils lineup.
Eric Bailly, who missed the previous league game versus Crystal Palace, has been excluded out of United's matchday squad altogether, and it is suggested that he has sustained an injury on international duty.
Here are the confirmed lineups...
Liverpool: Mignolet; Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno; Henderson, Can, Wijnaldum; Salah, Coutinho, Firmino.
Substitutes: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Klavan, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sturridge, Solanke.
Manchester United: De Gea; Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Darmian; Matic, Herrera; Young, Mkhitaryan, Martial; Lukaku.
Substitutes: Romero, Blind, Lindelof, Tuanzebe, Lingard, Mata, Rashford.
Manchester United have enjoyed good success at Anfield with two draws and a win in their last three league outings, and it will be interesting to see how Jose Mourinho's side approach the game this afternoon.
