Mesut Ozil sends message to Arsenal fans amid transfer speculation

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has told the club's faithful to ignore the noise amid the ongoing speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.

The 29-year-old has been linked with a potential transfer to Old Trafford in recent days, although a source close to the German stressed that the attacker has no thoughts of leaving the English capital (The Sun).

Ahead of the Gunners'away trip to Everton, Ozil posted a picture of him kicking the ball - on Twitter with the caption: "Ignore the noise and stay focused."

Ozil has not started a Premier League outing for the Gunners since the 3-0 triumph over Bournemouth in mid-September, but there is a realistic chance he will take the field from the off at Goodison Park.

Apart from Ozil, the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey will certainly return to the starting lineup after overcoming 'fatigue' which kept them out of the 2-1 loss to Watford last weekend.
