Dyche: could he be set for a move to the Toffees?

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has admitted that it is "very flattering" to have been linked with the vacant Everton managerial job. Ronald Koeman was fired by the Goodison Park board yesterday after a poor run of results.

Sean Dyche has been a standout performer this season in the Premier League, having guided Burnley to relative safety at the top half of the league table this year.

Dyche has been linked as a long-term replacement for Ronald Koeman and is the favourite to take the role at Everton.

"It's very flattering, I've been linked with other situations before," Dyche told Mail Online at FIFA's Best Football Awards in London on Monday night.

"I just keep getting on with my job until things change. It's out of my hands, I'm just getting on with what I do."

It is understood that Dyche is the top name of a four man shortlist for the Everton role, with former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel also linked with the job, as well as Everton youth coach David Unsworth.
