Asensio on the move next summer?

Real Madrid's young attacker Marco Asensio could be tempted to seal a switch to Manchester United at the end of the current campaign.

The Spain international is presently attracting elite club interest with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain also monitoring his progress.

According to Don Balon, the 21-year-old is assessing his situation at the Bernabeu, and he could be tempted for an exit if he continues to play as a regular from the bench.

Chelsea's Alvaro Morata endured a similar path during his time with the European champions, and Asensio is keen to avoid such an instance by pursuing a fresh challenge elsewhere.

Asensio currently has a £70m release clause on his contract, and Manchester United could trigger the valuation, should he decide to leave Los Blancos in eight months' time.

Asensio is currently playing second fiddle to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Isco in the starting lineup, and his situation may not improve in the coming weeks with Gareth Bale likely to make his injury comeback.

The Spaniard has contributed six goals and two assists for Real Madrid this term whilst including his two strikes versus Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup.
