Arsenal are increasingly keen on signing Benfica midfielder Andrija Zivkovic, who is also attracting interest from Premier League rivals Manchester United.

The Serbian has mostly been used in a central midfield role this term, and his performances have apparently caught the eye of the Gunners scouts ahead of the summer.

According to A Bola, the Gunners have sent their talent-spotters to monitor the 21-year-old on a number of occasions with the latest being during Benfica's 2-0 win at Feirense last weekend.

Zivkovic started off his career with Partizan as more of a winger, but under the management of Rui Vitoria, he has managed to play in a deeper central midfield role.

As a result, he has developed his key strengths which happen to be his hold-up play and defensive contribution, and this has captured the attention of Arsene Wenger's side.

Aside from Zivkovic, Arsenal have also been linked with Real Madrid star Luka Modric, who is said to favour a return to London before the start of next season.
