Manchester United to make record bid for Mohamed Salah?
Manchester United are reportedly prepared to make a club-record bid to sign Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah at the end of the season.
The Egypt international joined the Reds from AS Roma for an initial £34m last summer, and he has since been a revelation with 37 goals in all competitions for the club.
Earlier last month, it was suggested that the club's hierachy would block any bids for the attacker during the summer, but according to Don Balon, this is unlikely to deter United from making an approach.
As per the report, the Mancunian giants are weighing up a British-record £175m bid for the Egyptian footballer, and they are optimistic that such a sum would tempt the Reds into a sale.
Salah put on another stellar showing for Liverpool last night as they clinched a 3-0 advantage over Manchester City in the first-leg of the Champions League quarter-final at Anfield.
The Egyptian opening the scoring against the Citizens, before supplying the service for Sadio Mane's goal. He, however, sustained a groin injury during the closing stages of the game, and this may see him miss this weekend's Merseyside derby against Everton.
