Antonio Conte reacts to Chelsea's draw versus West Ham United
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has said that the Premier League stalemate against West Ham United perfectly summed up the season, the club have had.
Cesar Azpilicueta opened the scoring for the Blues in the 36th minute, and the Blues looked good value to increase their lead as the game went on.
However, Alvaro Morata had a two goals chalked off for offside whilst Willian likewise could not continue his bright form with a couple of sitters missed.
Speaking after the game, Conte told Sky Sports: "I think with this game we can see our season, our season is like this, we can create a lot of chances but we cannot take them."
"We are not clinical and then we concede two shots and concede a goal. This game is our season, it is a pity because we dominated the game and created many chances to score. This game explains our season"
The draw sees the Blues 10 points behind both Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in the pursuit of a top-four spot, though they have a game in hand over the latter.
With just six games left in the season, Conte faces an improbable task of leading the club to a Champions League spot, and this may spell an end to his managerial role irrespective of the FA Cup result.
