Lenglet on Manchester United radar

Manchester United are reportedly set to go head-to-head with Barcelona in order to pursue the services of Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet this summer.

The 22-year-old joined the Andalusian outfit from Nancy in January 2017 and he has since impressed with his ball-playing capabilities which were on display in the Champions League triumph over United.

According to The Sun, Jose Mourinho has plans of recruiting his third centre-back in as many as seasons as he has yet to find the right combination at the heart of the defence.

Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling have all featured in the central defensive department this term but only the latter has managed to cement a regular spot.

Mourinho has already highlighted that he won't be spending massive sums in order to catch up with arch-rivals Manchester City and Lenglet could be a handy option at a cut-price deal of around £20m.
