Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland has revealed that he won't consider his future until after the summer World Cup in Russia.

The 25-year-old is expected to make the England squad under Gareth Southgate and the shot-stopper is fully focus on the global tournament ahead.

When asked about his future, Butland suggested that nothing is likely to be sorted before the World Cup, where he is likely to be vying with Jordan Pickford for the number one role, he said: "My next focus is the World Cup and beyond that, we'll have to wait and see."

Butland was in tears shortly after Stoke's relegation from the English top-flight and he has since criticised the hierarchy for making 'farcical' signings which have led to the club's demotion.

The former Birmingham City graduate is currently of interest to both Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers with the former deemed favourites to acquire his signature in a £40m deal. He has made nearly 100 appearances for Stoke to date.
