Malcom on Liverpool radar

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will reportedly make an attempt to sign Bordeaux's Malcom when the transfer window reopens in a couple of months' time.

The Reds sanctioned the sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona during the previous transfer window but Klopp was rather content to opt against an instant replacement.

However, the German has plans to strengthen the attacking department during the summer and Malcom has been earmarked as the prime target for the Anfield club, The Mail reports.

Malcom was initially predicted to join a Premier League club in the winter transfer window after he had published pictures of him taking English grammar lessons.

But a move could not quite materialise after manager Gus Poyet was appointed at Bordeaux with the guarantee that Malcom would not be sold until the summer at the least.

Malcom, who has represented Brazil at the youth level, has contributed 10 goals and a further six assists for Bordeaux in 33 league games this campaign.
