Liverpool to sign Barcelona defender on loan?
Liverpool are reportedly weighing up an attempt to sign Yerry Mina on loan at the end of the campaign. The 23-year-old is currently in the ranks of Barcelona whom he joined from Palmeiras during the winter transfer window.
According to El Chiringuito, Barca boss Ernesto Valverde is prepared to loan Mina for the upcoming campaign in order to earn valuable experience playing first-team football.
It is added that the Reds are leading the race for the Colombia international, though they are likely to face local competition from the likes of Sevilla, Valencia, Villarreal and Celta Vigo.
Mina has not quite lived up to his expectations prior to his Barcelona move and he has made just two La Liga appearances for the Blaugrana since his winter switch.
The Colombia most recently earned a 10-minute run-out during Barca's 5-1 triumph over Villareal where he claimed the assist for Ousmane Dembele's second goal of the match.
