Leicester City to lower Riyad Mahrez asking price
Leicester City are prepared to lower the transfer valuation of Riyad Mahrez with the Algerian desperate to pursue a big-money move this summer. Chelsea and Arsenal have been linked with the attacker in the past.
The 27-year-old was heavily tipped to join Manchester City during the previous transfer window but the Foxes' hefty £95m price tag fended off their interest.
Following the failed move, Mahrez had gone a two-week strike where he refused to train with the Foxes and the club are now keen to avoid a repeat of the situation.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the former Premier League champions are keen to end their association with the attacker and they are willing to accept a much lesser sum than previously quoted in January.
City cruised to the 2017/18 league title with a 19-point advantage over second-placed Manchester United but Guardiola is still keen on signing another winger to provide competition for Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling.
