Chelsea closing in on Laurent Blanc

Chelsea football club are close to signing former PSG coach, Laurent Blanc, the Express and other online media report.

The former Manchester United player has agreed terms with the Blues to replace Antonio Conte.

Blanc is also a former coach of the French national team, and has been quite successful as a coach. His most successful spell was at PSG where he won 11 trophies between the summer of 2013 and the summer of 2016.

He also won the French league during his time as the coach of Bordeaux. He also led the French national side to the quarter-final of the Euros in 2012 where they were beaten by the eventual champions, Spain.

Chelsea will be hoping he brings flair to their side and give them a lift next season after finishing outside the top four in the just concluded Premier League season. It is not yet clear how many years contract he will pen down, but it will all be revealed in the coming days.
