Liverpool set sights on signing Burnley goalkeeper
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly set sights on pursuing Nick Pope from Burnley as he attempts to solve the club's goalkeeping issues.
The Merseyside outfit have been linked with Roma's Alisson over the past few weeks but they have supposedly stalled their pursuit amid his £79m price tag.
As such, The Sun reports that Burnley's Pope has been identified as the latest target with the Englishman available for a far lesser sum of £15m from league rivals Burnley.
Pope had a stunning season with the Clarets last term which has earned him a spot in the England World Cup squad but his exit from Turf Moor remains a possibility.
Barring last term, Tom Heaton has normally tended to be the first-choice shot-stopper and it is reported that Pope could potentially be cashed in to allow the former to reclaim his position.
Heaton did not making a single league appearance for Burnley following his shoulder injury in September but he is expected to return to full fitness ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
