Ronaldo set for United return?

Manchester United are reportedly aiming to hijack Juventus' move to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid during the summer transfer window.

The Portugal international has been a tremendous servant for Los Blancos over the past nine seasons and during this period, he has scored 450 goals for the club across all competitions.

Despite this, there have been indications that he may leave the European champions this summer and according to The Sun, United could go on a bidding battle with the Bianconeri for his services.

At present, United are not in urgent need of a new forward to bolster their ranks but the availability of Ronaldo may tempt them to sanction the sale of one of their fringe forwards.

Anthony Martial has looked the most likelier to part ways with the club in recent weeks and United may potentially seek to recoup part of Ronaldo's fee from the Frenchman's sale this summer.
