Manchester United readying bid for highly-rated Mexican winger
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly set his sights on signing Hirving Lozano after his impressive showing for club and country over the past year.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a wonderful debut season with PSV last term, contributing 19 goals and 11 assists and he has since followed it up with a solid performance at the World Cup where he netted the winner in the shock win over Germany.
As a result, his stock has risen with Barcelona and Arsenal among his admirers but according to Tuttomercatoweb, United may seek to jump ahead by lodging a formal bid for his services.
The Italian publication suggests that United could be willing to offer as much as £35m for the attacker, who still has five years left on his existing deal with the Dutch champions.
Mourinho has previously indicated that the club may not spend on a new wideman this summer but the plans could change in the next few weeks, given Anthony Martial is pushing for a potential exit.
