Everton and West Ham join Arsenal in race for French midfielder
Everton and West Ham United have joined Arsenal in the race to sign French and Sevilla midfielder, Steven N’zonzi, according to Le10 Sport.
It was reported last week that the Gunners are in talks over a possible transfer of the former Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers midfielder.
The midfielder is currently with the French squad at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia, and no deal will be completed until after France's outing at the Mundial.
With the French in the semis, the earliest possible end to their campaign will be on the 14th when the 3rd place match will be played.
Arsenal are seen as favourites to sign the midfielder because he played under current Arsenal manager Unai Emery when he was at Sevilla.
With Arsenal being the bigger club, the 29-year-old will also want the move to the Emirates it will give him the opportunity to achieve greater things.
West Ham have begun their pre-season preparation, losing 3-2 in a friendly against FC Winterthur. Everton on the other hand have flown to Austria to commence their first training camp under new boss, Marco Silva.
