Chelsea want AC Milan goalkeeper to replace Courtois
Chelsea are reportedly lining up a move for AC Milan shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma after losing out on the signing of Alisson Becker to Liverpool.
Roma's Alisson had been earmarked as the Blues' prime target to replace Thibaut Courtois but their plans have been scuppered with the Reds reaching an agreement for the Brazil international.
As such, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla claims that Gianluigi Donnarumma is the next target on the Blues' shortlist and they could take advantage of Milan's financial problems to lure him to Stamford Bridge.
Donnarumma, who has made over 120 appearances for the Rossoneri, only signed a fresh four-year deal with the club last summer. He is said to possess a £44m release clause on his current contract.
Meanwhile, Courtois has been tipped to seal a return to the Spanish capital with Real Madrid and a report from Marca has claimed that a deal of around £31m has been finalised between both clubs for the proposed transfer.
