Chelsea closing in on Higuain, Rugani deals

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly made his way to AC Milan to acquire the services of Juventus duo Daniele Rugani and Gonzalo Higuain.

Since the arrival of Maurizio Sarri, the Blues have been linked with the services of both Rugani and Higuain and Abramovich appears to have now taken upto himself to push through the deals.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Blues owner has already made his way to Italy and he is now expected to hold discussions with Fabio Paratici over a double deal worth £89m.

Sarri has previously worked with Higuain and Rugani during his time with Napoli and Empoli respectively and there are suggestions that the duo could be sold to compensate for Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival in Turin.

Chelsea have so far completed just a single signing in the form of Jorginho after paying up an initial fee of £50m to Napoli. The Italian was formerly a target for Manchester City before the Blues hijacked the deal.
