Leicester City reach agreement to sign Liverpool goalkeeper
Leicester City have reportedly confirmed the transfer of Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward on a four-year contract.
The Reds recently confirmed the signing of Alisson from Roma, and this has in turn influenced Danny Ward's decision to leave Anfield after becoming their fourth-choice goalkeeper.
Ward told LCTV: "I'm delighted to be here and I'm really looking forward to the future with this football club. I've come here to develop my all-round game and hopefully help deliver some more success."
Ward is widely expected to provide competition to Kasper Schmeichel for the number one role but that could soon change with the latter linked with a potential move to Chelsea before the transfer deadline.
The Blues are currently anticipating the exit of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois with Real Madrid keen on his services and Schmeichel has been identified as one of their prime targets to fill the void.
