Arsenal enter race to sign Croatian defender
Arsenal have reportedly joined the likes of Everton and Liverpool in the race to sign Croatian defender Domagoj Vida from Besiktas this summer.
The centre-back only joined Besiktas from Dynamo Kiev last winter but a strong showing at the World Cup has caught the eye of several elite sides.
According to Milliyet, the Gunners are the latest club to have joined the chase for the centre-back and they could go on a bidding battle with the likes of Liverpool and Everton.
Unai Emery has already sanctioned deals for Stephan Lichtsteiner and Sokratis Papastathopoulos to bolster the backline but he is said to be eyeing one more key signing before next month's deadline.
Besiktas are presently holding out for a package of around £27m for the Croatian, who was part of the national side which reached the final of the World Cup.
Arsenal are presently in Singapore where they are due to face Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in pre-season friendlies as part of the International Champions Cup schedule.
