France international Alexandre Lacazette has urged Aaron Ramsey to stay put with Arsenal for the upcoming campaign. The Welshman's future has been a key talking point this summer with his contract expiring at the end of the 2018/19 season.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Ramsey admitted that he is 'unsure' regarding his Gunners future with his representative yet to find a breakthrough with the club's hierarchy.

Despite this, Lacazette has talked up the importance of 'legend' Ramsey to the club and believes the midfielder's stay remains fundamental to the team's success.

"Ramsey is really important. Aaron is there for maybe 10 years, he's a legend in the club so we have to be respectful for everything he has done," he is quoted as saying by Evening Standard.

"Of course with his quality he can help the team to be better. He's an example for all the young players. Of course we need Aaron [him] in the team."

Ramsey has been a regular feature during the Gunners' pre-season campaign but with the new season drawing closer, the fans ought to be worried about his future with the club.

Arsenal are said to have previous regrets after allowing Alexis Sanchez and Jack Wilshere enter the final year of their contracts last summer and they are keen to avoid a similar instance with the Wales international.
