Inter Milan to sign Sime Vrsaljko
Inter Milan have made an agreement with Atletico Madrid for the capture fo Croatian international full-back Sime Vrsaljko. The 26-year-old defender, who represented Croatia during this summer's World Cup, will make the move to Italy yet again having spent three years there with Sassuolo and Genoa.
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has informed Sime that he would not be a member of the La Liga giants' squad for this season and subsequently the Rijeka-born player has decided to move elsewhere.
Three English clubs - believed to be Chelsea, Leicester City and West Ham - had all expressed interest in signing Vrsaljko but the player has instead decided that he would prefer a move to Italy for the next step of his career.
Despite having four years remaining on his contract with Atletico the defender will put pen to paper on an even longer deal with Inter.
Vrsaljko appeared 21 times for Atletico last season in La Liga, and a further 8 times in all other competitions.
