Tottenham Hotspur nearing deal for Serie A ace
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly close to securing an agreement to sign Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan this month.
Spurs have made no signings during the course of the summer and this recently witnessed manager Mauricio Pochettino admit that he is concerned regarding the situation.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Spurs could be planning a late spending spree in the transfer window and this could begin with the signing of Brozovic from Inter Milan.
The Nerazzurri are presently said to be open to the midfielder's sale as they seek to raise funds of their own and Spurs have supposedly identified Brozovic as a replacement for Mousa Dembele.
Dembele had initially been keen on pursuing a move to China but the option no longer remains a possibility with their transfer window now closed. Nevertheless, he has been tipped to make way with fresh interest from AC Milan among others.
Brozovic has been with Inter Milan since the winter of 2015 and during this period, he has contributed 18 goals and 19 assists across all competitions. He was most recently part of the Croatian national side which reached the final of the World Cup.
